How is JobTailor different from other job platforms like LinkedIn?

Do I need the extension?
No. The extension is the fastest route because it sits on the posting you're already reading, but everything works from the dashboard too — paste the job link and we'll read the posting for you, or paste the description straight in. Same match score, same tailored resume, same cover letter.
Will JobTailor share my personal information?
No. Your resume and jobs stay in your browser's local storage, and if you create an account they sync to your private dashboard protected by row-level security — visible only to you. We don't sell or share your data with recruiters.

How do Job Alerts work?
Save the links you keep refreshing — a company careers page, a filtered search on a board — and we re-check them for you every few hours. Anything new lands in your Job Alerts feed with one click to save it into the tracker. Job Alerts are part of Pro, which watches 3 links at once; Max watches 10.
Do I need to set anything up?
No. The AI is built in and works out of the box — nothing to connect, nothing to configure. Add your resume once, in the extension or the dashboard, and start tailoring.
Will it invent things on my resume?
Never. The AI won't add employers, job titles, dates or degrees that aren't in your original resume, and every suggestion goes through your explicit accept/reject review before it reaches the final document.
