Why we built JobTailor
Applying for jobs has turned into a numbers game that job seekers keep losing.
Most people send the same resume to every job, because tailoring it by hand for each posting takes time nobody has. But recruiters, and the applicant tracking systems in front of them, look for the language of that specific role. Good candidates get filtered out because their experience is described in different words, not because it's the wrong experience.
We built JobTailor to close that gap: read the job post, show you how well your resume matches and what's missing, and rewrite it to fit, using only what you've actually done. It works right on the job page through our Chrome extension, or from any job link in the web app.
What we believe
Four rules every feature has to follow.
We rephrase and reorder what's real. No made-up employers, titles, tools or numbers — a resume that only passes by stretching the truth fails the first interview.
Every AI change is a tracked suggestion you accept or reject line by line. Nothing is applied to your resume until you say so.

Is JobTailor free?
Yes, you can start free: every account gets tailored resumes, cover letters and job extractions each month, plus the job tracker and the free resume creator. Paid plans (Pro and Max) raise the monthly limits, and students get Max free for 30 days with a school email.
Does JobTailor make things up on my resume?
No. JobTailor only rephrases, reorders and emphasises experience that's already on your resume. It never adds employers, job titles, dates, degrees, tools or numbers you didn't give it, and every change is a suggestion you accept or reject.
Do you sell my data or share it with recruiters?
No. We don't sell personal data, and we don't share your resume or job data with recruiters or employers. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what we store, why, and how to delete it.
Which AI does JobTailor use?
Resume and job text is processed by Google's Gemini models to score matches and draft tailored content, as described in section 4 of our Privacy Policy. You review everything before it's used.
